While dealing with a professional crisis, Marcus and Kerry have a run-in with Melanie (played by Meg Duell), the computer girl at Apollo Comics whom harbors a hidden crush on Marcus. Brandon and Erica sneak into Erica's boss' house only to be stopped by another assistant, Sarah Hess (Played by Jackie Haydamacha). Jill and Zack have their first encounter with Jill's arch-nemesis Tracey Jones (Played by Dawn Barber) and her accomplice Claire Cheshire (Played by Brionna Webb).

We follow the lives of Zack Wells (an assistant at a large talent agency), Erica Morrison (an actor's home assistant), Brandon Gross (a producer's assistant), Marcus Steele (a comic book studio assistant), Jill Davis (a costume warehouse assistant), and Kerry Collins (an assistant at an entertainment law firm).

Our six main characters, like most in the industry, are chained to their desks all day, every day.   They communicate via a Video Conference (called ASST), where the 6 of them go about their daily work while keeping each other entertained, and sane. Together they help each other survive insane bosses, deadlines, and impossible tasks asked of them on a daily basis.
